I think it's interesting that different colored roses signify various meanings. For instance, if you give someone red roses, it means you're romantically interested in them (well, not hard to figure out!) But pink roses signify appreciation, yellow ones are given to friends, peach is for sympathy, and orange ones (my personal favorite!) can indicate desire for the recipient. Purple roses are the most interesting: they are a sign of love at first sight! White roses are a good choice for people that want to convey reverence or humility, where light pink ones show the recipient that you admire them.
